Our mobile SDKs provide the opportunity to unlock premium features for free as an alternative for in-app purchases. We support leading mobile developers in building exciting games and apps.

Thus, we are looking for someone with a passion for the mobile app ecosystem - someone who accepts the challenge of working on a developer toolkit (SDK) used by top Android and iOS developers across the globe.

Your Role

Continuous development of the SDKs for Android and iOS. Add new features that add value for players and developers of mobile apps.

Work closely with the mobile product team to: Discuss new features and technologies to be used, research technical feasibility of new ideas and actively suggest improvements based on your experience and feedback you gather from other developers.

Your Skills

At least 1-2 years of real-world experience in Android or iOS development.

You love mobile and think that it’s the next big thing (because it is!).

Ideally you have already launched an app in either the Android market or the Apple app store and know the process, the struggles and the excitement of launching an app.

If you have worked with social games, that’s a huge plus.

Primary Responsibilities

They have very interesting technical challenges to solve, some numbers from our live systems are 5 millions SQL + NoSQL queries per minute, 7.000 http requests per second and a read/write balance close to 50/50.

The environment is informal and flexible, each game is made in a small multidisciplinary team with typically 2 to 3 backend developers. They have a strict no nonsense policy, we believe in good test coverage and we have the freedom to decide how to develop, host, deploy and operate our systems.

Currently they are using Ruby, Erlang, Redis and AWS for our backend projects. They are constantly looking for new tools and exploring new technologies.

YOUR PROFILE

-Good understanding of systems engineering, scalability, and algorithms.

-Database knowledge, preferably with relational and non-relational databases.

-Experience implementing APIs, preferably REST a plus.

-Knowledge of server management (deployment, monitoring, optimizing, etc.) a plus.

-Experience implementing browser based multiplayer games a plus.

-Computer Science degree or equivalent experience.

They are looking for someone with a strong engineering background who enjoys building high quality products used by millions.

You ideally have a good product sense, an understanding of the web ecosystem, strong personal initiative and the ability to prioritize, you can multi-task and work under fast deadlines.
